INTRODUCING: LEMONDAZE

With the recent release of their debut EP, we caught up with rising shoegazers Lemondaze.

North-London based threesome Lemondaze dropped their debut four-track EP 'Celestial Bodies' just a couple of days ago, and it's one you definitely do not want to sleep on. Heavily drawing influence from the nineties, the EP is dark, grungy and full of angst. It's the perfect mix of nineties-inspired haze blended with modern-day musical hypnosis: swirly guitars, plenty of delay and lots and lots of reverb! What's not to love?

Having gained praise from some of their idols, including Ellie Rowsell of Wolf Alice and Rachel Goswell of Slowdive, it's clear that Lemondaze is a band worth watching!

Lemondaze is Isis De Chastelain, Rosie Heard-Edwards, and Jonty Freeman.

Jess Edwards

Hey hey, I’m Jess, and I'm an all-round creative weirdo from up north. I dabble with a few bits and bobs from songwriting and playing in bands, to music journalism and my day job in PR. I’m a sucker for discovering new music, and frankly I’d need a spreadsheet to organise my playlists at this point. Undoubtedly, I’m a huge advocate for promoting, and providing opportunities for minorities within the music industry - so being a part of the VG team is incredibly exciting! Some of my current obsessions include: Softcult, Art School Girlfriend, girlhouse, Sinead O Brien & Mumble Tide.
